- Remove the ability for players to use stations to safely store their blueprints without putting them at risk in Starbase structures.
I could keep using a tower, but it would mean logging in twice a day to make sure I haven't been wardecced. Maybe I should just join a renter corp; nullsec stations get the same bonus as pos labs, and it'll be a lot safer.
- Reduce copy time on all blueprints to be less time consuming than manufacturing something out of it. This gives the option to use blueprint copies to build items at Starbases without risking the original.
This drops the copy time on titan prints by at least three quarters. That would be fine if the demand could keep up, but it can't. So that investment just turned toxic.
Suddenly I'm real tired of having to work around CCP.
I'm running a capital production as well and I had a similar reaction to the BPO change. However this only reallty affects us if you build out a of POS. CCP said in the blog and in the commends on the forum that they're reducing the copy time on all bpos and they're looking into increasing the maximum limit of 5 runs for capital BPO's
ReplyDeleteAlso keep in mind that you can still build from your BPO's in a corporatino hangar if you build inside the station, and that station got a unlimited amount of manufacturing lines now. Great beside I could use up all 50 with ease.
What really scares me is what changes they plan on doing to the ME and PE research.
All sighs turn to nullsec - it may be sad to admit, but CCP wants to make nullsec more alluring and wants that space more populated. To accomplish that, they will buff null and slightly nerf low.
ReplyDeleteRenter corp/alliance will be a surefire way to ensure the best possiable margins.
More people in null sec will mean more explosions....which will mean more demand....so it may be a good thing in the long run?

A renter corp/alliance pays for the system it is renting and so those overheads must be factored in first before any profit is realised. On average it is over a billion per month for a system with no station or other facilities. Very few renter systems have stations and for the most part your POS is as vulnerable there are it is in low.
ReplyDeleteHowever there is a simpler solution to your problem without actually joining a null-sec alliance. How do I contact you in game?
I asked one of the corps in the GWCPS. They charge 60m/mo for the first character and the rest are free, and they have access to all the alliance's stations.
DeleteYou can mail character 'ispia jaydrath' ingame if you want to get in touch.
I would suggest speaking with the owning alliance Diplo / Renting Manager, from Goons, PL, or NC. directly. Ask them to reccomend a solid corp & region location that currently rents and best matches what you intent to do. Establish some repour with them or a lesse associate to get better renting oppertunity /shrug.
DeleteI am bias and would not suggest goon space for "reasons".

That's a quality suggestion. Thanks.
DeleteDon't forget outposts not having slot caps anymore. The null 60% refine workflow just got easier (Minnie T3 outpost didn't have many build slots, so you had to haul minerals to pos to build at scale) and I think it's becoming less and less likely that lowsec cap manufacture will remain viable. I'm leaning heavily towards selling off atm.
ReplyDeleteThey said that they would talk more about how the effect of the unlimited slots would affect outposts. They might get some different effect for all we know.
DeleteYeah, I'm waiting for the other devblogs in the series before making my final decision, but it really does feel like the writing is on the wall.
DeleteRight, its called get ready to move to Null. CCP has all the metrics and KPIs there is to have. They are pretty damn smart about the game and I trust thir judgement. Yeap they are not perfect in any way, like all of us, but they have done pretty damn well so far if you ask me. Eve is the best MMO out there and have been since WoW outted with the Pandas!

Eh, I'm already in NPC Null on my main, not interested in sov tbh. I think the changes are good for the game overall, but in my case my response is probably going to be to sell off my prints and shut down one of my accounts.
DeleteBottom line, the null sec cartels just orchestrated a huge hit, again, to high sec, while improving the RMT streams for anyone who controls the pursestrings of a null sec station.
ReplyDeleteI await SC or some like-minded game's arrival, and then the CCP can witness the exodus of subscriptions.
Yikes dude, slow down on the kool aid there you gulper you. Gloom and doom have no place...
DeleteCCP wants more people in sov space, period. Get use to it. With more people comming to null sec, many many many good things will come, which will help to reduce the power and influence that the few blocs enjoy now. I think it will all work itself out.
The only exodus will be the flood of new players comming from the mmo failures out there, back to eve or new to eve. The MMO market and the video game market itself is too micro right now with homegrown indy projects or major corporate money pits that will never turn a profit.
Have fun waiting for SC to come out and flop....hope you didnt drop $100+ on it tho, poor people.

I picked a great time to pay for a high sec POS service last month! Grrr
